Lenten Taizé Evening Prayer at St. Mary’s Cathedral
St. Mary’s Cathedral will host a Lenten Taizé Evening Prayer service on Friday, March 14, at 7:00 pm. Taizé is a small village in eastern France, the home of an ecumenical community of monks, both Catholic and Protestant, whose daily prayer is the center of their community life. Pilgrims and visitors from all over the world visit Taizé for reflection and prayer.
Our service will feature spoken and sung prayer and candle lighting, with simple songs that are repeated over and over to become a prayerful meditation. This service is family friendly and will last about 45 minutes. Come for Stations of the Cross at 5:30, stay for Soup Supper at 6:00, and join the community for Taizé evening prayer at 7:00.
